Thierry Loa is Dr. Hello. He is an interdisciplinary film and new media Director working on both New Media and Traditional Media projects.
Applying Vorkapich's theory of Kinesthetic value, Thierry focuses on the aesthetics and fluidity of motion in his work. He does his own storyboarding for translating his vision from mind onto paper. His New Media work is often characterized by the use of storytelling techniques and approach.
The work he directed won awards and recognitions at the annual Webby Awards, Advertising and Design Club of Canada (ADCC), FWA Awards, FITC Awards, SXSW, Moving Image Film Festival, Official Selection at the Brooklyn Film Festival, and the P.Gerretsen Film Awards. In August 2009, the .net UK magazine (Issue#193) recognised him as one of the 'World's top 20 web designers'.
His abilities for developing and executing ideas are only broadened and complemented by his cross-and-multi disciplinary skills in and knowledge of the various media which he has been exploring and practising diligently over the years.
He is currently working on a cinematic-ethnographic feature-length film and a one-hour drama film, amongst other projects. To some, Thierry is known as a New Media & Film director; to others as an artist simply.
